- Are you registered with Better Business Bureau, Angie’s List, or the Chamber of Commerce?
- How long has the company been in business?

- Does the company carry required insurance?
- Are you a member of the International Door Association? (Firms which are, adhere to a strict code of business practices)
- Are you accredited by the Institute of Door Dealer Education, and do you use IDEA certified door technicians?
- Do you install products or repair them in compliance with local, state, and federal codes?
- When requiring repair or service work, ask: Will you provide a firm estimate prior to authorizing the work?
- Are your company vehicles professionally signed? If required, do they include a contractor license number?
